Hello, I'm Roy from
Creative Bakery Solutions
After many years working for a hospitality supply company, an opportunity arose for Roy to once again be self-employed; thus, Creative Bakery Solutions Ltd. was formed.
Roy’s background in the baking industry began in 1975. He secured an apprenticeship working at one of NZ’s best-known bakeries, ‘Ann’s Pantry,’ in central Auckland. Having completed his apprenticeship in 1981, Roy went on to work in well-known patisseries and hot bread shops around Auckland and taught bread making at night school before purchasing his first bakery in 1988.
From 1988 through to 2008, Roy, along with his family, owned and operated successful bakeries and cafes in Auckland. Roy won many medals in New Zealand Baking Industry competitions and was at the forefront of the “Artisan” baking revolution that continues today. During his 20 years in business, Roy also trained and passed on his knowledge to many apprentices, some of whom have gone on to own successful bakeries.
Roy also served time as a committee member of the NZ Baking Industry Association, now known as BIANZ. Much of this time was spent helping to promote the baking industry as a good career path for school leavers. He has also spent time guest teaching at Poly techs and judging competitions.
After exiting the business in 2008, Roy started selling, installing and supporting many well-known brands of bakery equipment, including the world’s number one rack ovens from Revent, Sweden. Roy has had many opportunities to travel overseas to expand his knowledge, including being contracted to assist with the development of equipment.

Since starting Creative Bakery Solutions Ltd many brands including Revent, Panem, and WAICO Group have joined us in this new venture.

Through Roy’s experience in the baking industry, Creative Bakery Solutions will be one of New Zealand’s only bakery-specific suppliers.
